The Artist's Way

The Artist's Way workshops are based on one of the best books about creativity, Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way

This workshop is really about how to grab your creative life by the lapels... because sometimes it's hard to know how to even begin... Apologetically? Enthusiastically? What if this... What if that?!

And although the workshop is in the context of being creative, it is really about living a full, passionate and authentic life.

Many of you have asked for an The Artist's Way workshop so here it is!

In Liz's words:

I am thrilled to be facilitating this class in 2018! 12 weeks to journey together through The Artists Way by Julia Cameron. I took this class and it truly changed my life. By doing the morning pages, artist's dates, and insightful activities, I think you will find, as I did, a clarity and reconnection to your creativity. Wondering if this is the class for you because you are not an "Artist" or no longer making art? I am not a fine artist, but we are all creative and thrive when we are connected to that creative energy.

Elizabeth Gilbert says it so well: “If you’re alive, you’re a creative person. You and I and everyone you know are descended from tens of thousands of years of makers. Decorators, tinkerers, storytellers, dancers, explorers, fiddlers, drummers, builders, growers, problem-solvers, and embellishers—these are our common ancestors. The guardians of high culture will try to convince you that the arts belong only to a chosen few, but they are wrong and they are also annoying. We are all the chosen few. We are all makers by design. Even if you grew up watching cartoons in a sugar stupor from dawn to dusk, creativity still lurks within you. Your creativity is way older than you are, way older than any of us. Your very body and your very being are perfectly designed to live in collaboration with inspiration, and inspiration is still trying to find you—the same way it hunted down your ancestors.”    ― Elizabeth Gilbert

This class is for all of us who are stuck, need a new direction- those of use who question our next steps, are looking for new inspiration, or just want to grow and share with other creative "makers". Please don't hesitate to join in this journey. I am so thankful that I did and I look forward to sharing this journey with you. (Babysitting may be available onsite, so please check with me if that helps you participate). Cheers! Liz
