I've had such a great time putting together the curriculum for: Learn to Draw by Copying the Masters.

Part art history and part drawing techniques. I've loved every bit of research and every exercise we will cover. I really do have the best job in the world.

Copying old masters' drawings is a time-tested discipline. The experience of copying from numerous master artists, not only exposes us to drawing techniques, but also to the thinking process behind those techniques. By examining the techniques used by great artists, we gain insight into the way they worked, and we can learn the lessons that they in turn learned from great artists before them.

When we talk about copying successful artists, what we are really talking about is learning from them. The goal is to then use what we learn to create our own unique works of art, and hopefully, in the future, young artists will copy from us!
